Most communication problems in organisations are not technical — they are relational. Leaders avoid the conversations that matter most. They give vague feedback to keep the peace. They misread silence as agreement, especially in high-context Asian business cultures.
This module builds three core communication capabilities: giving and receiving feedback with specificity and care; navigating difficult conversations without avoidance or aggression; and reading and adapting to different cultural communication styles.
Drawing on frameworks including Situation-Behaviour-Impact (SBI) feedback, Crucial Conversations, and high-context versus low-context communication theory, participants leave with both the language and the confidence to handle the conversations they have been putting off.
