Most facilitators teach leadership. René has lived it — for 25 years, in some of Southeast Asia’s most uncharted business territories.
Who He Is
René Anant Feddersen brings something most facilitators cannot offer: the authority of someone who has actually built things. Across 25 years in Southeast Asia, he has taken ventures from first principles to operating reality — same-day delivery networks, cold-chain logistics platforms, last-mile SaaS, BPO operations, wellness facilities, and a craft beer brand. All bootstrapped. Most early to market.
Born in Thailand into a multicultural family, raised across cultures, and educated in Hamburg and the United States, René has navigated the full complexity of building businesses in resource-constrained, high-uncertainty environments. That experience is not background. It is his curriculum.
He now brings that lived knowledge into leadership facilitation and advisory work — helping leaders close the gap between knowing what to do and doing it under pressure.

What He Brings
René’s facilitation is shaped by hard-won lessons from decades of entrepreneurship. He does not deliver theory — he draws on the patterns, failures, pivots, and breakthroughs of a career spent in real markets, with real stakes.
Decision Making Under Pressure — When you have built same-day delivery infrastructure across a city of 12 million, decision speed and clarity are not abstractions. René brings practical frameworks for high-stakes choices — shaped by experience, not textbooks.
Entrepreneurial Leadership — What it actually takes to lead when resources are scarce, the playbook doesn’t exist, and the team is watching. René helps leaders build the mindset and habits of founders: ownership, resourcefulness, and the ability to learn fast.
Strategic Clarity — From business case to operating business, René has navigated every stage of building. He helps leaders think with rigour about where they are going and what it will actually take to get there.
Leadership Presence & Enrolment — René writes and thinks deeply about what makes people follow a leader. His facilitation style combines intellectual sharpness with a genuine curiosity about people — creating the conditions for real insight rather than performed agreement.
“Knowledge, language, leverage — once the obvious skills are in place, these three are what actually make a leader effective. None transfers cleanly from one situation to the next; each is earned again as conditions change.”
— René Anant Feddersen
How He Thinks
René’s intellectual foundation is unusual for a business builder. His education at St. John’s College in New Mexico — one of the world’s few purely Great Books universities — immersed him in philosophy, mathematics, and the classics. He left to return to Thailand and build businesses, but that rigour never left him.
He thinks carefully about attention, blind spots, and the small signals that determine whether a business — or a leadership relationship — continues to work. “The closer you are to something,” he writes, “the harder it is to see it clearly.” It is a principle he applies to strategy and to leadership in equal measure.
René is trilingual (English, German, Thai — all native), and his multicultural background gives him unusual fluency across the Thai, German, and Western business contexts that shape so much of leadership in modern Southeast Asia.
